Chiranjeevi Gets Relief as Supreme Court Allows Tirupati Rally on Aug 26th

New Delhi.  Aug 21, 2008.

  • Justices B N Agarwal, Harjit Singh Bedi and G S Singhvi did not interfere with the  Andhra Pradesh government's permission to Chiranjeevi to hold the rally.
  •  The  Avilala Tank is on a  176-acre land where the megastar is going to announce the formation and the name of his political party, and its policies.
  • NGO Intellectual Forum had earlier filed the case and was being represented by Senior Counsel L Nageshwar Rao.
  • Andhra Pradesh government was represented by Senior counsel Ruington Nariman.
  • A crowd of 1 million (10 lakhs) is expected to converge at the venue for the "Mega Lauch" of the new political outfit.
